A classmate had this opportunity for me complete with circles and lines and a chance to annoy all of my friends and family. A lot of us have been there, desparate to make the American dream. What I remember isn't the money spent on the "kit" to get started but the dream that my sponcer sold me. His dream was to have heated marble floors in the bathroom. Every time I step out of the cold shower I think of that. Sorry folks, my ADD is getting the best of me today. Remember that the American dream is only one great idea away. Peace.

After taxes 1,000,000.

If I had a million dollars after taxes here is what I would do with it. I currently live off of about $1500 a month after taxes. I would find an investment that paid me $2000 a month to live on. What my community lacks is a homeless shelter. I would buy a building to create a shelter. My degree is in Human Service and my working background is in youth prevention and fundraising. I feel that once created I would be able to find the funds to keep it going. My guess is that I could do this for around $100,000 staffing and all. Secondly I'm also involved in animals, house rabbits primarily. I would provide the funds for an addition to our Humane Society for unwanted rabbits. This as well could run around 30 to 40 thousand for the addition and staff. I of course would pay off my debts, which with student loans and a mortgage is under $100,000. I would buy a vehicle that isn't fixed monthly and a house larger then my 1000 square foot box we live in now. This I anticipate would be around $100,000. I would then fund a scholarship fund in the name of a friend who will die in the next year of brain cancer. I would work the homeless and rabbit shelter as my job, so $12,000 a year would go towards insurance for my family. This for starters is what I would do with a million dollars. If you want to help me just let me know and I'll give you my paypal or personal address. What I want now is for people to tell me what they would do with a million dollars. Lastly of course money would be put aside for my three daughters college fund. Enjoy this blog and read on to the many other interesting blogs....Peace Brian

Average income

I live in a part of Michigan where the average income is barely over the poverty standards. My yearly income is under $25,000 a year for a family of five. I work doing youth prevention, education and what I call promotion, which is speakly loudly of the good being done by youth. What bothers me are programs that promote excess. Like the spoiled girls on a daddy's little girl program where they have dimond studded this and $200,000 sweet sixteen parties. The most I've ever earned individually has been around $30,000. What I hope to accomplish with this blog is to have others tell me what they would do with a million dollars. I would like to ask that anyone posting be serious and allow me to speak of your idea of generosity, or selfishness. This is open to all, please write and my next blog will be on what I would do with a million dollars.
